This course is intended for certified asthma educators who wish to enhance their teaching skills and develop effective presentation skills.

Objectives

After taking this course, the asthma educator will be able to effectively:

instruct small groups
teach other health care professionals
act as a resource for other HCP who wish to learn about asthma
make presentations

effective presentation techniques
methods and rules for creating lessons and presentations
planning processes to use when working with small groups
teaching tips and techniques applicable to small groups

Course materials

All course materials are provided at no extra charge.

Certificate of completion

Participants who successfully complete the course will be awarded a Certificate of Completion. In order to successfully complete the course, participation is required in class activities.

Course structure

Four teleclasses, conducted by phone, one class a week, each class will be 2 hours in length.

Class size

To ensure individual attention and effective personal interaction, only 4 persons are accepted for each class. Registrations are accepted and classes are held as soon as we have four registrants. To participate in the next course, register as soon as possible.

Continuing Education (CE) credits

12 CE credits will be awarded to participants who successfully complete the course.
