Course: Teaching Techniques for Teleclass Instructors [Item]
ID: T435
Options: View Course Schedule, Enroll in Live Course

About this course

This course is intended for Certified Asthma Educators who wish to become teleclass instructors.

Teleclasses pose unique challenges to the asthma educator. Since class instruction is provided over the phone, with no visual contact between students and instructor, teaching techniques need to be both adapted and enhanced in order for the teleclass experience to be positive and productive. Speaking styles have to be changed to compensate for the lack of eye contact, and telephone etiquette must be established and observed.

This course will explain the techniques required for successful teleclass teaching. It will provide preparation and teaching guidelines, together with basic rules that can help teleclasses to run smoothly. It will also offer real-life examples, and give participants an opportunity to conduct a brief teleclass.
