Asthma Education: Principles and Practice (“AEPP”) was first printed in 2005, and reprinted in 2006 with minor updates. However, the fields of asthma and asthma education are rapidly progressing. The Textbook Supplement Service helps keep your copy of AEPP up-to-date.

How it works

• Every year, at least 6 updates to the book are published. These updates may be one or more pages in length. They provide new information that either replaces or supplements the information in Asthma Education: Principles and Practice.
• Also published are articles that complement topics in the textbook, or address new topics, research or medications that have recently come to prominence.
• As each update is published, it is added in PDF format to this web site. You will be sent an e-mail telling you that an update is ready for downloading. You can download the update at any time, print it, and file it with your textbook. Complete instructions are provided with each update.
• Typically, each update replaces one or more pages in the textbook. In some cases, the updates consist of all-new pages for the textbook. References and citations are included wherever necessary.

Your subscription gives you access to all updates published:
- from the date of your subscription onwards
- in the previous six months prior to the start date of your subscription.

For example, if you subscribe on July 1, you can also download any updates that were published in the preceding six months (i.e., from January 1 onwards).

How we prepare the updates and supplements
We constantly monitor asthma medications, techniques, research findings and published papers, and determine whether the new information they contain affects the textbook. If it does, we carefully research and prepare the update material or supplementary article (complete with all appropriate references), and then place it on our web site.

As a subscriber, you will also be able to buy one copy of the next edition of the textbook at a savings of 25% off the cover price. (To qualify for this discount, you must be a subscriber at the time the next edition is published.)
