Have you ever wanted to teach an asthma course to your patients, but not had the time to design and write the course material? Have you hoped that someone would design such a course and put it all together for you to use?

That's exactly what we've done with Living With Asthma. Living With Asthma is an asthma education course that's ready to go right out of the box. It contains everything that you (the instructor) will need in order to teach your patients about asthma.

Living With Asthma is a five-session course. Each session lasts 90 minutes, and we recommend that sessions be conducted once a week over 5 evenings.

When you order a copy of Living With Asthma, you get five 3-ring binders, one per session. Each binder contains the following:

• complete instructor's guide
• course outline
• an outline of your presentation for each class
• overhead transparencies.

Using the binder, you present the course material to your patients, and you illustrate each point by using one or more of the included overhead transparencies.

You also get a sixth binder, which is the Instructor's Handbook. This contains lesson plans, teaching suggestions, suggestions for displays and other supporting materials that you can add to your presentation.

A copy of our textbook The Fundamentals of Teaching, which is a "how to teach" book for asthma educator, is included in the package.

All course materials come packaged in a convenient and attractive carrying case for ease of portability. However, when teaching any one session, you need only the 3-ring binder for that session, together with any additional materials you may have assembled for that session.
